Management Team

Localizers LLC has two executive partners: Sabine Hathaway and Gerhard Bock.

Sabine has a graduate degree in Conference Interpretation from Universität des Saarlandes at Saarbrücken, Germany. She has worked as a freelance translator and in-house at a leading localization firm in Silicon Valley. At Localizers, Sabine is responsible for marketing and project planning. She manages the team of linguists, reviewers, testers and DTP specialists needed to make your project a success.

Gerhard has an M.A. in Translation and Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA. He has worked as an in-house translator and project manager as well as a freelance translator in both Germany and the U.S. He has also taught graduate-level translation classes at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. At Localizers, Gerhard is responsible for the technical aspects of operations, including translation memory management, graphic and web design, and desktop publishing

 

Resource Network

Localizers works with translators, reviewers and subject matter experts for all major languages. We hand-pick the best of the best and establish long-term relationships that benefit not only Localizers and our linguists, but also our clients: The same people who work on your products now will also work on them next year and the year after. This removes many of the issues that cause project management headaches and results in the highest level of linguistic quality as well as terminological and stylistic consistency.

In addition to our own resources, we regularly coordinate with third parties contracted by our clients to perform additional services for them, such as power users performing software functionality testing or external web hosting providers. We can act as a facilitator between these external resources and your in-house teams, or we can leverage them independently to achieve the goals you set, without ever losing sight of your budget specifications or milestones.
