Palm® Inc. is a leading manufacturer of smartphones and other handheld devices for the webOS™, Palm OS® by ACCESS and Windows Mobile® platforms. Localizers has been providing localization and linguistic review services to Palm for more than 10 years, thus ensuring linguistic and stylistic consistency across many release cycles.

Representative projects:

• Ongoing localization and linguistic review of software and documentation for Palm devices, including Pre™, Pixi™ and Treo™ smartphones, in German, French (for France and Canada), Spanish (for Spain and Latin America), Italian and Chinese.
• Update and maintenance of Palm master glossaries.
• Update of Palm translation memories.

Siemens Building Technologies, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, is a leading international provider of products and solutions for building security, life safety and building automation. Localizers provides translation and other linguistic services in German, English and French.

Representative projects:

• Translation of sales cards, brochures and other sales materials.
• Proof-reading of sales materials written in German and English.

The BMW Group—home to brands such as BMW®, MINI® and Rolls-Royce®—is one of the world’s most prestigious automobile manufacturers. BMW has production facilities in six countries and employs cutting-edge logistics systems. Localizers has been a BMW partner since 2004, providing translation services to a variety of departments.

Representative projects:

• Translation of supply systems redesign documentation for BMW’s automotive plants from German into English, including complex logistics specifications.
• Translation of proposals, specifications and reports for other BMW departments.

ZoneAlarm®, a Check Point Software Technologies company, is a leading developer of Internet security products for consumers and small businesses. Its software is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese and is installed on over 60 million PCs worldwide. Localizers has been working with ZoneAlarm since 2003, localizing content for the ZoneAlarm web site, translating marketing materials and producing visual assets in a variety of languages.

Berlin-based Cobra Youth Communications is a leading agency for marketing and advertising aimed at children and teenagers. The company has designed a number of web sites specifically targeted at younger audiences. When two of their leading clients, Mercedes-Benz and Lufthansa, decided to have their kids’ web sites localized, Cobra Youth contracted with Localizers to work on the initial translation as well as periodic content updates, including Flash-based games.
